Sin affects the mind.
A man may be a genius in secular things, but a novice in spiritual things.
Sin casts a veil over the mind, and before a person can be converted, this veil must be lifted by the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit.
Sin affects the will, making the man to live under vices such as the tyranny of pride, jealousy, hatred, prejudice, and unforgiving spirit or in bondage to alcohol, drugs and other evil habits.
Sin also affects the conscience. This may make its victim a habitual liar, incapable of differentiating between good and evil.
